Green, Ky. - A Western Kentucky University staff member and sorority member were recognized recently at the Southeastern Panhellenic Conference in Atlanta.
Charley Pride, director of Student Activities, received the Jane H. Sutton Advisor of the Year Award. Pride supports and exemplifies the ideals of the Greek community and promotes student leadership development throughout fraternal and campus communities.
Katie Beard, a Bowling Green junior and member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, was elected to the 2008 SEPC Conference Committee. She is one of five undergraduates who will serve on the committee next year.
The SEPC is a sorority conference representing 125 schools in the Southeast. More than 1,300 attended the March 29-31 event in Atlanta.
