3rd Annual Hilltopper Black Bag Classic Set For April 21

Bowling Green, Ky. - Students from the Recreation Administration Program at Western Kentucky University will be hosting the 3rd Annual Hilltopper Black Bag Classic fishing tournament at Barren River Lake on April 21.

The entry fee is $35 for single entrants and $60 per two-person team. The event, sponsored by Camping World, will begin at 7 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m. The awards ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Ranger Bob’s Bait and Tackle near Barren River Lake Dam. Participants will win cash prizes for the three biggest fish caught each hour.
On-site registration will be held at Ranger Bob’s Bait and Tackle Friday, April 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, April 21, from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Those who register or check-in on Friday night will be eligible to win a rod and reel. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Dream Factory, a local charity that aids critically and chronically ill children ages 3-18.
