Green, Ky. - Thanks to generous support from The Berta Fund for Excellence, Dr. Del Siegle, associate professor of educational psychology in the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut and president-elect of the National Association for Gifted Children, will share his expertise this month in Bowling Green.
The Center for Gifted Studies at Western Kentucky University will host an evening seminar Sept. 28 and a daylong workshop Sept. 29.
Dr. Siegle, an expert on underachievement and giftedness, will address parents and other interested people Sept. 28. In the seminar from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the University Plaza Holiday Inn, he will examine how to understand and talk to your children about their giftedness.
His topic for a six-hour workshop on Sept. 29 will focus on understanding motivation and gifted children who underachieve. Designed for educators, parents, counselors and school administrators, this workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University Plaza Holiday Inn.
