Bowling Green, Ky. - Kentuckians throughout the Commonwealth will celebrate their rich archival heritage during the fifth annual Kentucky Archives Week, October 8-14, 2006. 

“Kentucky Archives Week is a state effort to raise awareness of the role archives and manuscript repositories play in preserving our society's history.  Since 2002, Western's celebrations of Kentucky Archives Week have benefited students, the general public and our collections,” said Sue Lynn McDaniel, WKU Archivist.

This year’s theme is “Family Heritage.”  University Libraries will host a “Quilting Workshop with Juanita Yeager, Discovering New Family Traditions” on October 14 at The Kentucky Building.
