20 WKU Students Competing For 2006 Homecoming Queen

Bowling Green, Ky. - Twenty Western Kentucky University students are competing to become the 2006 Homecoming queen.

The winner will be crowned during halftime of the Oct. 28 Homecoming football game against Indiana State. The game begins at 4 p.m. at L.T. Smith Stadium.

The theme for this year’s Homecoming is “A Century of Spirit.”

This year’s queen candidates include:

Lindsey Ardrey, an anthropology major from Bowling Green. She is the daughter of William and Saundra Ardrey and is sponsored by National Pan-Hellenic Council.

Simisola Atolagbe, a senior corporate and organizational communication major from Hermitage, Tenn. She is the daughter of Kudirat Kareem and is sponsored by WKU Catering and Restaurant Group and University Bookstore.

Taylor Elizabeth Barnhill, a senior broadcast news major from Franklin, Tenn. She is the daughter of Bill and Beth Hinton and Billy and Sharon Barnhill and is sponsored by Kappa Sigma and NewsChannel 12.

Marybeth Burnett-Woodall, a senior interior design major from Bowling Green. She is the daughter of Mary Farrell and Richard Burnett and is sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha.

Kyanna Coffee, a senior child studies major from Caneyville. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Etta Mae Frith and is sponsored by Resident Staff Association.

Heather Ryan Coles, a senior nutrition and dietetics major from Bowling Green. She is the daughter of Fred and Connie Rich and is sponsored by Chi Omega and Sigma Chi.

Gina Gasbarre, a senior marketing major from Louisville. She is the daughter of Linda and John Gasbarre and is sponsored by WKU Admissions office.

Ginny Grant, a senior marketing major from Owensboro. She is the daughter of Denny and Sarona Grant and is sponsored by Sigma Kappa, Farmhouse and Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Emalee Browning Griffin, a senior public relations major from Glasgow. She is the daughter of Tom Griffin and Julie Griffin and is sponsored by Kappa Delta, Kappa Alpha and Lambda Chi Alpha.

Rachel E. Griffin, a senior advertising major from Owensboro. She is the daughter of Mac and Cindy Griffin and is sponsored by Phi Mu, Phi Delta Theta and Sigma Nu.

Cassie Marie Guenthner, a senior marketing major from Shepherdsville. She is the daughter of William and Lucy Guenthner and is sponsored by American Marketing Association.

Faith Hood, a senior family studies major from Frankfort. She is the daughter of Jackie Hood and is sponsored by Campus Activities Board.

Lauren K. Johnson, a junior nursing major from Utica. She is the daughter of Sarah Johnson and the late Jerry Johnson and is sponsored by WKU Block and Bridle Club.

Hannah Lawrence, a senior corporate and organizational communication major from Woodburn. She is the daughter of Kelly and Trisha Lawrence and is sponsored by College Democrats and Latin American Student Association.

Katie Lauren Robinson, a senior corporate and organizational communication major from Corbin. She is the daughter of Stacey and Teresa Robinson and is sponsored by Baptist Campus Ministry.

BryAnn Marie Roth, a senior advertising major from Neenah, Wis. She is the daughter of Paul and Dawn Roth and is sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

Stephanie Shaver, a senior public relations major from Lexington. She is the daughter of Wayne and Sheri Shaver and is sponsored by Spirit Masters.

Serenda Tucker, a junior pre-law, political science and English major from Greensburg. She is the daughter of Doyce and Elaine Tucker and is sponsored by WKU-Glasgow Campus.

Lizzy White, a senior public relations major from Nashville, Tenn. She is the daughter of Betty and Mike White and is sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi and Pi Kappa Alpha.

Brittani Wilson, a senior public relations and sociology major from Lexington. She is the daughter of Rodney Wilson and Carol Wilson-Clark and is sponsored by Amazing Tones of Joy.
