- High school students interested in attending the
Kentucky Academy of Mathematics and Science at Western Kentucky
University are invited to attend an informational meeting
with their parents at the L and N Depot in Bowling Green
on Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in learning about
the Kentucky Academy is welcome to attend.
Opening in August 2007, the Kentucky Academy is a residential
early admissions program for 60 high school juniors and
60 high school seniors with interest in science, technology,
engineering and mathematics careers. Students will earn
college credit while obtaining a high school diploma. They
will live and learn with peers who share their enthusiasm
and interest in learning. Thanks to the generous support
of the General Assembly, room, board and tuition will be
funded by the Commonwealth.
