Bowling Green, Ky. -Western Kentucky University will take its Centennial celebration to Owensboro on Nov. 2.

WKU Centennial Day in Owensboro will begin at the Rooster Booster Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the Executive Inn. WKU President Gary Ransdell will be the guest speaker.

Dr. Ransdell also will meet with the Citizens Committee on Education at 9:30 at the Executive Inn and will participate in a luncheon with Owensboro-Daviess County leaders at 11:30 a.m. at the Owensboro Country Club.

WKU’s Board of Regents will conduct its quarterly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at Owensboro Community and Technical College’s Blandford Lecture Hall.

WKU will conduct an alumni reception at 6:30 p.m. at the RiverPark Center.

The Centennial day’s events will conclude at 7:30 p.m. with a concert by the Bowling Green Western Symphony Orchestra at the RiverPark Center. Admission to the concert is free.
