Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University Intramural Recreational Sports will be hosting the 2006 ACIS Regional Flag Football Tournament, also known as “The Battle of the Bluegrass,” Nov. 17-19 at the Hattie L. Preston Intramural Sports Complex. 

Games will be played from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 17, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 18 and 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Nov. 19.

Teams from Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Arkansas, Iowa, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, West Virginia and Georgia are expected to compete in men’s, women’s and co-rec divisions. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of two games in the round robin format that will be followed by a single-elimination tournament.

Both the champion and runner-up of the single-elimination tournament in each division will be offered a travel stipend and a paid entry to attend the National Flag Football Tournament Dec. 28-31 in Pensacola, Fla.
