Cherokee Storyteller's Visit To WKU Cancelled

Bowling Green, Ky. - Cherokee storyteller and filmmaker Sequoyah Guess has canceled his Tuesday visit to Western Kentucky University because of illness.

Guess had been scheduled to screen his film “Ravenmocker” and present “Sigili: Dark Keetowah Tales,” a Cherokee storytelling performance, as part of Native American Heritage Month.

The Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology is working to reschedule his visit.
