Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team placed second in a national competition this week in Kansas City, Mo.

WKU’s SIFE team received a $2,000 cash award and trophy at the 2006 SIFE USA National Exposition for its finish in the Discover Financial Services Success Skills Competition. The competition honors SIFE teams that were most effective in teaching the success skills through outreach projects in their communities.

Earlier this spring, WKU’s SIFE team won its second consecutive regional championship and won five of the six national specialty competition awards, including success skills.
