WKU Holds 29th Annual Greek Achievement Banquet

Bowling Green, Ky. - More than 350 students attended the Western Kentucky University Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council’s 29th annual Academic Achievement Awards Banquet on March 14.

The students invited to the banquet had a 3.2 grade-point average for the spring or fall 2005 or a 3.2 overall GPA. Ninety students who had a 3.8 overall GPA were recognized for the Greek Academic Honor Roll.

Sigma Chi fraternity and Kappa Delta sorority had the highest overall GPA for fraternities and sororities in 2005. Other awards included the following:

Highest freshman GPA: Caroline Ramsey of Madisonville and Taylor Hale of Hendersonville, Tenn.

Highest sophomore GPA: Kelly Stinson of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Lance Coulter of Bardstown.

Highest junior GPA: Rachel Foster of Lexington and Jordan Shaw of Louisville.

Highest senior GPA: Kathryn Burcham of Florence and Thomas Hsu of Lexington.
