Green, Ky. - Sixteen graduates of Western Kentucky University’s biology program have been admitted to prestigious graduate programs.
“A growing number of biology graduates are choosing to further their education and training by entering master’s and Ph.D.-level graduate programs,” said Dr. Cheryl Davis, biology professor. “We are extremely proud of the following graduates who will be moving to the next level in the fall 2006 semester.”
Master’s degree recipients entering doctoral programs include Clement Akotsen-Mensah of Accra, Ghana, Auburn University; Sarah Legates of Bowling Green, University of Wyoming; Abhishek Srivastava of Lucknow, India, University of Louisville; and Jared Studinski of Morgantown, W.Va., West Virginia University.
Bachelor’s degree recipients entering graduate programs include Lauren Ahiatsi of Nashville, Tenn., WKU; Bethany Alicie of Bowling Green, Purdue University; Robin Brotherton of Nancy, Florida Institute of Technology; Jason Butler of Owensboro, University of Florida; Donald Chapman of Elizabethtown, University of Notre Dame; Deborah Cooke of Radcliff, University of Kentucky; Michael Dodson of Westmoreland, Tenn., Ohio University; Natalina Elliott of Hermitage, Tenn., Vanderbilt University; Lydia Kullman of Owensboro, University of Louisville; Amber Miller of Liberty Township, Ohio, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi; Bradley Smith of Louisville, University of Florida; and Alice Wright of Youngsville, N.C., University of Wisconsin-Madison.
