The Center For Gifted Studies Celebrates 25th Year Saturday

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Center for Gifted Studies at Western Kentucky University will begin its 25th year with a celebration on Saturday (July 1). 

The first meeting of the Alumni Association of The Center for Gifted Studies will be held at 3 p.m. in the J.T. Sandefur Auditorium at Tate Page Hall.

The Downing University Center South Lawn will be the site of the picnic celebration that will begin at 5 p.m. Activities will include tethered hot air balloon rides (weather permitting), tours of Florence Schneider Hall (home of the Kentucky Academy of Mathematics and Science) and the music of Skip Cleavinger’s band. A slide show and fireworks will conclude the celebration.

The Center for Gifted Studies offers services to children and young people who are gifted and talented, their parents and educators. This summer The Center will have involved more than 1,000 young people and educators in programming.
