WKU, South Central Bank Honor High
School Scholars

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University and South Central Bank of Glasgow honored 29 seniors from four area high schools for their academic achievements.

Thursday’s annual High School Scholars Luncheon honored high school seniors who qualify for at least a renewable full-tuition scholarship to WKU. This year’s group has an average ACT composite score of 27.75 and grade-point average of 3.91 and includes 12 Governor’s Scholars.

The students honored at the Lera B. Mitchell Clubhouse in Glasgow included:

From Barren County High School: Kimberly Bacon, John Paul Bonnewell, Kayla Dowdy, Jacob Glover, Kelli Harris, Ashley Herrensmith, Spencer Larkin, Tara Rae Morgan, Hilarie Hughes Rigdon, Laura Smith, Luke Stephens, Andrew Strader.

From Glasgow High School: Christina Berry, Demetria Boards, Kelli Higginbotham, Courtney Martin, Whitney Shirley.

From Metcalfe County High School: Heather Compton, Adara Martin, Russ McMurtrey, Brian Shaw, Sydney Waddell.

From Monroe County High School: Morgan Barnett, Amanda Brown, Corey Brown, Emily Ethridge, Blake Gerughty, Clifton Hamilton, Kelli Long.
