Choral Society Announces Auditions
For Spring 2006

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Bowling Green-Western Choral Society announces auditions for new singers for Spring 2006.

The literature for Spring 2006 includes Vaughan Williams’ powerful “Dona Nobis Pacem” and Mack Wilberg’s lively arrangements of “Four Early American Hymns.”

Auditions will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23; and 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the Recital Hall of the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center on the WKU campus. The audition consists of vocal exercises to determine range and agility, and pitch matching exercises.

Practice recordings are available to assist the learning process. Previous choral and musical experience are helpful.

Rehearsals are Mondays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the first rehearsal Jan. 23.
