Bowling Green, Ky. - Classes for the Veterans Upward Bound program at Western Kentucky University begin Sept. 5.  Registration is in progress to accept new participants who wish to utilize the program’s free services to prepare veterans to enter college of vocational/technical school. 

Veterans Upward Bound offers refresher academic classes, assistance in applying to school, help with the financial aid applications, career exploration, and much more.  All services are free. 

This is the only program in Kentucky that offers these opportunities specifically to veterans.  For information about how to join the program, call (270) 745-5310; email  Veterans.Upward.Bound@wku.edu, or visit http://www.wku.edu/vub .  Hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
