Bowling Green, Ky. - Prospective students and their parents can see what Western Kentucky University has to offer during upcoming open house events in the region and preview days on campus.

The annual open house schedule is as follows (to RSVP online, visit http://www.wku.edu/Info/Admissions/openhouses.htm):

Nashville, Tenn., area: Aug. 19, 10 a.m. CDT at the Marriott Nashville Airport.
Hopkinsville area: Aug. 26, 10 a.m. CDT at the James E. Bruce Convention Center.
Owensboro area: Sept. 18, 6:30 p.m. CDT at the RiverPark Center.
Elizabethtown area: Sept. 26, 6:30 p.m. EDT at the Pritchard Community Center.
Evansville, Ind., area, Oct. 2: 6:30 p.m. CDT at Kirby's
Louisville area: Oct. 18, 6:30 p.m. EDT at the Kentucky Derby Museum.
Muhlenberg County: Oct. 30, 6:30 p.m. CST at the Muhlenberg County Career Advancement Center.

WKU’s Admissions office also is planning several campus preview days.

The first Focus on Western program is scheduled for Sept. 30. The day’s events include informational sessions, campus tours and an academic expo and will conclude with the WKU vs. Western Illinois football game at 6 p.m. Additional Focus on Western programs are scheduled for Nov. 11 and Feb. 24.

College Preview and Transitions Day, a campus preview day for African-American students, is scheduled for Nov. 18 and again on Feb. 3.
