Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University will bring donors and students together Thursday (Sept. 15) for the fifth annual Scholarship Celebration.

About 400 donors and students are expected for the dinner at 6 p.m. at Diddle Arena.

The Scholarship Celebration recognizes benefactors who have established endowed scholarships and provides them with an opportunity to meet the recipients. The event began in 2001 and has grown each year.

Through more than 470 funds in the WKU Foundation and the College Heights Foundation, Western annually awards about $1.5 million in endowed scholarships.
