Bowling Green, Ky. - Fourteen Western Kentucky University students are competing to become the 2005 Homecoming queen.
The winner will be crowned during halftime of the Oct. 15 Homecoming football game against Missouri State. The game begins at 4 p.m. at L.T. Smith Stadium.
The theme for this year’s Homecoming is “Celebrate Traditions, Build Memories.”
This year’s queen candidates include:
Stacey E. Adkisson, a senior public relations major from Versailles. She is the daughter of Jamie Adkisson and is sponsored by WKU Spirit Masters.
Brandis Lynn Blodgett, a senior communication and religious studies major from Lexington. She is the daughter of Marianne and Michael Blodgett and is sponsored by Baptist Student Union and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Shante Camille Hatchett, a senior elementary education major from Bowling Green. She is the daughter of Donnie and JoNell Hatchett and is sponsored by Amazing Tones of Joy.
Alicia Marie Miller, a senior political science and German major from Erlanger. She is the daughter of June and Glen Miller and is sponsored by College Democrats and German Club.
Sarah Elizabeth Morris, a senior religious studies and communication studies major from Germantown, Tenn. She is the daughter of Van and Tessa Morris and is sponsored by Chi Omega and Pi Kappa Alpha.
Ashley Musselman, a senior agriculture major from Anderson, Ind. She is the daughter of David and Rhonda Musselman and is sponsored by Block and Bridle.
Emily Rebecca Salmon, a senior news-editorial journalism major from Lexington. She is the daughter of Chris and Marsha Salmon and is sponsored by Sigma Kappa and WKU football team.
Stefanie Sellers, a senior elementary education major from Mt. Washington. She is the daughter of Jeff and Lois Sellers and is sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
Sammi Snodgrass, a senior dietetics major from South Carrollton. She is the daughter of Terry and Gina Snodgrass and is sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha.
Kristina Thoele, a senior sociology major from Louisville. She is the daughter of Dan and Lisa Thoele and is sponsored by ROTC and Scabbard and Blade.
Candice Brenn Tope, a senior corporate communications major from Richmond. She is the daughter of David and Teresa Tope and is sponsored by Phi Mu and Kappa Alpha.
Abby Lauren Wells, a senior performing arts and communication studies major from Glasgow. She is the daughter of Danny and Terri Wells and is sponsored by Kappa Delta and Sigma Chi.
Rebecca Elaine Wells, a senior dental hygiene major from Winchester. She is the daughter of Rita and Homer Wells and is sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi, Delta Tau Delta and Lambda Chi Alpha.
Finley Wilsher, a junior elementary education major from Nashville, Tenn. She is the daughter of Wade and Billie Wilsher and is sponsored by Residence Staff Association.
