WKU Student, Alums Earn Honors At KAPS Meeting

Bowling Green, Ky. - For the third straight year, a Western Kentucky University student has received the Jennie Ewald Memorial Scholarship Award for Outstanding School Psychology Graduate Student from the Kentucky Association for Psychology in the Schools.

John Lamana, a second-year graduate student from Youngstown, Ohio, received the award at the KAPS annual conference in Erlanger, Ky. Competition for the scholarship, which includes a $500 cash award, includes students from school psychology programs from across Kentucky.

Two WKU graduates were also honored at the Sept. 28-30 meeting. Amanda Tyson Crick, a 2002 graduate from Nortonville, won the Region 1 Best Practices Award. David Taylor, a 1995 graduate from Owensboro, won the Region 2 Best Practices Award.
