Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s Department of Music is planning several events in November.

Nov. 3: Bowling Green Western Symphony Orchestra concert. 7:30 p.m. at Capitol Arts Center. Tickets start at $5.

Nov. 5: Big Red Marching Band Extravaganza Concert. 2 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Amphitheater. Admission is $5; all students and children admitted free.

Nov. 7: Baritone Timothy LeFebure vocal masterclass. 2- 3 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. Free admission. LeFebure, a faculty member at Binghamton University, has performed with numerous symphonies and opera groups.

Nov. 7: Bowling Green Western Choral Society and University Choir performance. 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Tickets start at $5.

Nov. 13: Flute Choir Recital. 3 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. Free admission.

Nov. 13: Phi Mu Alpha Instrumentalists. 7:30 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. Free admission.

Nov. 16: Guest recital with Stanley Yates, guitarist. 5 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. Free admission.

Nov. 18: Jazz Ensemble’s “Kiddie Show.” 9 a.m. at Capitol Arts Center. Free admission.

Nov. 18: WKU Women’s Chorus and Chamber Singers. 7:30 p.m. at First Christian Church in Bowling Green. Eva Floyd will make her conducting debut with the Women’s Chorus. The Chamber Singers will present a program titled “A Little Night Music.” Admission is $5; WKU students free with ID.

Nov. 19: Second annual Double Reed Day. 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. Masterclass begins at 2 p.m. with a recital at 6 p.m. featuring Keith McClelland, bassoon; Martin Schuring, oboe; and Michele Fiala, oboe and bassoon. Free admission.

Nov. 19: Jazz Ensemble Recital. 7:30 p.m. at Capitol Arts Center. Free admission.

Nov. 20: WKU Steel Band performance. 5 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. Tickets start at $4.

Nov. 20: Trombone Ensemble Recital. 7:30 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. Free admission.

Nov. 29: Double Reed Ensemble Recital. 7:30 p.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. Free admission.
