Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s Intramural Recreational Sports will be hosting the 2005 ACIS Regional Flag Football Tournament, also known as “The Battle of the Bluegrass,” on Nov. 18-20 in Bowling Green.

Teams from Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Arkansas, Iowa, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia are expected to compete in men’s, women’s and co-rec divisions. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of two games in the round robin format that will be followed by a single-elimination tournament.

Both the champion and runner-up of the single-elimination tournament in each division will be offered a travel stipend and a paid entry to attend the National Flag Football Tournament in Pensacola, Fla., Dec. 29-31.
