Bowling Green, Ky. - Logan County Training Consortium member employees will have an opportunity to talk with Western Kentucky University representatives about their education needs and review associate’s and bachelor’s degree program information during a meeting Tuesday (Nov. 22) in Russellville.

The meeting is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce meeting room.

At the request of the Logan Economic Alliance for Development and its Executive Director Jody Lassiter and in response to educational needs expressed by existing businesses in Logan County, WKU’s Division of Extended Learning and Outreach (DELO) recently conducted an educational needs survey. The results of the survey were presented Nov. 10 to the Logan County Training Consortium. At the meeting, it was decided that the next step would be to meet with employees of Logan County’s industries who are interested in furthering their education.

In addition to DELO, representatives from the WKU Department of Architectural and Manufacturing Sciences, the Business and Computer Studies Division of the Bowling Green Community College, and Dean Sherry Reid from the Community College will be in attendance.
