WKU Biochemistry Major Accepted Into Research Program
Bowling Green, Ky. - Yi Zhou, a sophomore at Western Kentucky University, has been accepted into the Kentucky Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network's summer undergraduate research program.
The WKU biochemistry major will be working under a faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Kentucky. The KBRIN funds up to 20 undergraduate students to receive a 10-week, gene-based research and/or bioinformatics experience at either the University of Louisville or the University of Kentucky. Students are mentored by faculty who are actively engaged in biomedical research. Priority is given to students entering their sophomore or junior years, who are considering careers in biomedical research. More WKU news is available at www.wku.edu.
