WKU Forensic Team Wins Final
Regular Season Tournament

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University's Forensic Team won team sweepstakes in both portions of the Muskingum College/Ohio State University Swing Tournament on March 5-6 in Columbus, Ohio.

Individual results for the WKU Forensic Team are as follows:

Barry Fields, a Bowling Green sophomore, tournament champion in rhetorical criticism in the Muskingum portion; tournament champion in extemporaneous speaking, second in rhetorical criticism in the OSU portion.

Maggie Waid, a Symsonia freshman, second in prose interpretation in the Muskingum portion; tournament champion in prose interpretation and programmed oral interpretation in the OSU portion.

Ashley Burgdorf, a freshman from Evansville, Ind., tournament champion in impromptu speaking in the Muskingum portion; tournament champion in impromptu speaking in the OSU portion.

Caitlin Drance, a Florence freshman, tournament champion in prose interpretation and poetry interpretation in the Muskingum portion.

Elizabeth Au, a senior from Evansville, Ind., tournament champion in persuasive speaking, placed second in poetry interpretation in the Muskingum portion; third in persuasive speaking, third in poetry interpretation in the OSU portion.

Ben Unanaowo, a freshman from Union City, Calif., fourth in poetry interpretation in the Muskingum portion; tournament champion in poetry interpretation in the OSU portion.

Chad Meadows, an Owensboro freshman, second in extemporaneous speaking, third in rhetorical criticism in the Muskingum portion; second in extemporaneous speaking, third in rhetorical criticism in the OSU portion.

Beth Berger, a Lexington freshman, fifth in poetry interpretation, fifth in prose interpretation in the Muskingum portion; fourth in prose interpretation, fifth in poetry interpretation in the OSU portion.

Adam Huegel, a freshman from Rosenberg, Texas, third in impromptu speaking in the Muskingum portion; second in impromptu speaking, second in persuasive speaking in the OSU portion.

Luke Gilbert, a freshman from Talbott, Tenn., third in prose interpretation, third in poetry interpretation in the Muskingum portion.

Jacqueline Adams, a Bowling Green sophomore, fourth in prose interpretation in the Muskingum portion; third in prose interpretation in the OSU portion.
