WKU Board Of Regents Re-Elects
Martin Chair

Bowling Green, Ky. - Cornelius Martin of Bowling Green has been re-elected chair of the Western Kentucky University Board of Regents. Martin was elected to a second one-year term at the board's meeting on Friday.

Earl Fischer of Dallas was elected vice chair. Katie Dawson, a Radcliff senior, was sworn in as student regent.

The board approved the creation of a Center for the Study of the Civil War in the West. The center will be housed in the History Department with support from the Frockt Family Professorship in History.

The board also approved minor programs in Water Resources, American Humanics, Geographic Information Systems and Sexuality Studies and a certificate in Kentucky Studies. All of the programs will be created using existing courses and resources.
