Seminars Across Kentucky

July 27, 2005

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University's Department of Continuing Education, in partnership with the Kentucky Consumer Finance Association, announces the 2005 series of professional development seminars designed for members of the Consumer Finance Industry.

The seminars will be held at eight locations throughout the commonwealth during July and August.

Each seminar will start a dinner at 6 p.m. local time. Immediately following dinner a panel of local legislators will conduct an open discussion period. This legislative session is designed to provide an opportunity for participants to meet and visit with local legislators.

The program will conclude with the keynote session on the 2005 Bankruptcy Reform Act. This new legislation will make it harder to have debts wiped out by the courts and will require more debtors to pay back some or all of their debts.
