Bowling Green, Ky. - Prospective students and their parents can see what Western Kentucky University has to offer during upcoming preview days on campus and open house events in the region.
Western students, alumni, faculty and staff will be taking a part of the Hill to prospective students and their parents during annual open houses. The schedule is as follows:
Hopkinsville area: Aug. 20, 10 a.m. CDT at the Pioneer's Memorial Complex. (RSVP required by Aug. 15.)
Nashville, Tenn., area: Aug. 27, 10 a.m. CDT at the Millennium Maxwell House. (RSVP required by Aug. 18.)
Owensboro area: Sept. 27, 6:30 p.m. CDT at the RiverPark Center.
Elizabethtown area: Sept. 29, 6:30 p.m. EDT at the Pritchard Community Center.
Evansville, Ind., area: Oct. 11, 6:30 p.m. CDT at the Petroleum Club.
Louisville area: Oct. 27, 6:30 p.m. EDT at the Kentucky Derby Museum.
Western's Admissions office also is planning several on campus preview days.
The first Focus on Western program is scheduled for Sept. 10. The day's events include informational sessions, campus tours and an academic expo and will conclude with the WKU vs. Eastern Kentucky football game at 6:30 p.m. An additional Focus on Western program this fall is scheduled for Nov. 5.
College Preview and Transitions Day, a campus preview day for African-American students, is scheduled for Oct. 29 and again on Jan. 28.
