Bowling Green, Ky. - What if all 50 states decided to change places? That's just what happens when Kansas decides it's tired of being the state in the middle and changes places with Virginia. Follow the ensuing pandemonium as Bowling Green Mayor Elaine Walker reads aloud 'The Scrambled States of America' as part of this month's Reading Rainbow storytime at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15.
WKYU-PBS and Barnes & Noble sponsor the storytime every third Saturday of the month in the children's section of the Bowling Green bookseller. You never know who will show up to read aloud the featured book selection.
'The Scrambled States of America,' a cleverly written, brilliantly illustrated children's book, is a great introduction to exploring the USA, and statistics indicate children who are read aloud to do better in school.
WKYU-PBS is the public television service of Western Kentucky University.
