Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University honored 90 seniors from 10 high schools for their academic achievements.

Wednesday's annual High School Honors Luncheon honored high school seniors who qualify for at least a renewable full-tuition scholarship to WKU. This year's group has an average ACT composite score of 28.7 and grade-point average of 3.87 and includes 39 Governor's Scholars and nine National Merit Semifinalists.

The students honored at the Executive Inn in Owensboro included:

From Apollo High School: Sheriese Bone, Caroline Buchanan, Rebecca Doom, Paris Kidd, Elaina Reid and Taryn Rice.

From Daviess County High School: Alexandra Anderson, Ashley Belcher, Christopher Bowers, Jonathon Brown, Mark Campbell, Harini Chenna, Katherine Crabtree, Amanda Gray, Ashley Hall, Rachel Hamilton, John Janes, Joseph Janes, Whitney Kullman, William Machin, Avni Maru, Jaclyn Miller, Wessley Mitchell, Logan Poteat, Brittany Rowe and Suvina Sallan.

From Owensboro High School: Kasey Blackford, Roxanna Holland, Sarah Humphrey, Pete Jones, Ara Moorman, Veronica Murray, Natasha Neely, Andrew Owen, Jeremiah Smith, Mikayla Walker and Mary Weber.

From Owensboro Catholic High School: Roger Dotsey, Elisa Graham, Paul Mattingly, Andrew Murphy, Ashtin Riney, Erin Schrecker and Megan Thompson.
