Kentucky Building To Feature
Black History Month Exhibits

January 26, 2005

Bowling Green, Ky. - Two Kentucky Library and Museum exhibits celebrate the artistic and photographic talents of African Americans in this community.

Both exhibits opened as a part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and are featured throughout February's Black History Month observance. They will, in fact, remain on exhibit through April 30.

"African American Artists of Warren County" features artwork by Stephanie Foster, Thelma Green, Granville Mitchell, Vivian Snardon and Thomas Withrow, and photography by Alan Jay Holman Sr., Carl L. Rodgers and Brent Whitlow.

Whitlow is also the featured photographer in "Our Community Is Your Community," a collage of photographs showing area citizens at work, attending festivals and participating in recreational, dramatic and sporting activities.
