Bowling Green, Ky. - Julia Link Roberts, Mahurin Professor of Gifted Studies and director of The Center for Gifted Studies at Western Kentucky University, represented the United States as one of three delegates to the 16th Biennial Conference of the World Conference for Gifted and Talented Children.
Representatives from 43 countries gathered in New Orleans Aug. 6-10 to focus world attention on gifted and talented children and ensure the realization of their valuable potential to the benefit of humankind.
Dr. Roberts, along with Kentucky Association for Gifted Education's Executive Director Lynette Baldwin, presented "Nurturing and Building Advocacy" as featured speakers. Their session focused on the basic principles of building advocacy for gifted children.
