Pulitzer Prize Winner To Speak
At WKU Conference

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University's Division of Academic Affairs will host "Engaging the Spirit: Enhancing Student Learning," a conference for faculty and student affairs professional staff on Thursday.

Featured speakers include Dana Canedy, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist from The New York Times, and Dr. Jillian Kinzie, associate director of National Survey of Student Engagement's Institute for Effective Educational Practice.

"Engaging the Spirit" will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Van Meter Hall and will include more than 30 presentations by faculty and staff on the theme of engaging students for enhanced student learning.

Canedy, a native of Kentucky, won the Pulitzer Prize for her article and her work as editor in the series "How Race Is Lived in America."
