WKU Alumni Board Appoints New
President, Nine New Members

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Western Kentucky University Alumni Association Board of Directors recently appointed a new president and nine new members to serve three-year terms.

Dr. Jack Glasser ('73) is a general practitioner in Bowling Green. He and his wife, Janice, have two children.

Mary Dean Pedigo ('53) is a retired teacher from Fountain Run. She and her late husband, John, have five children and 17 grandchildren.

Alice Gatewood Waddell (’75) is an artist in Bowling Green. She has three children.

Bob Young (’86) is an attorney with English, Lucas, Priest and Owsley in Bowling Green. He and his wife, Tracey, have three children.

Valerie Van Eaton (’80), is chief development officer for Homeland Security Corporation in Nashville.

Marcia Newberry (’69, ’82, ’87) is a retired teacher from Louisville. She has one daughter.

Ben J. Wathen (’85, ’87) is chief operating officer of Town & Country Bank and Trust Company in Bardstown. Wathen and his wife, LeeAnne ('87), have two children.

Howard A. Pincus ('68, '71) is a semi-retired personnel management consultant from Atlanta. Pincus and his wife, Susan, have one child.

Jerry Potter ('71) is a sports writer with USA Today.

Former Hilltopper basketball player Clarence Glover ('71), a school administrator in Louisville, is president of the Board.

A member is appointed to the position based on demonstrated involvement, support and commitment to Western Kentucky University and the Alumni Association. The role of the Board of Directors is to guide, foster and develop Western's alumni program by overseeing the direction of the Alumni Association.
