Bowling Green, Ky. - For the second consecutive year the Department of Political Science at Western Kentucky University is participating in the Congress to Campus program.

As part of the program, the Department will be hosting former U.S. Representatives Louis Frey (R-Fla.) and Mike Ward (D-Ky.) Monday and Tuesday. The Congress to Campus program promotes civic engagement and learning among college age students.

During their visit, Frey and Ward will visit Political Science, Communication and Marketing classes. The representatives will also serve as keynote speakers for the Department of Political Science Honors Banquet and participate in small group meetings with students.

Ward is a former Kentucky state representative and represented Kentucky's third district from 1995-1997. He currently hosts a morning radio show in the Louisville area. Frey served 10 years in Congress from 1969-79. He is the co-author of "Inside the House: Former Members Reveal How Congress Really Works" and is the founder of the Lou Frey Institute of Politics at the University of Central Florida.
