Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University President Gary Ransdell will announce a major national award for WKU's School of Journalism and Broadcasting on Friday.

The announcement will be at 1 p.m. in the Martin Regents Room of Mass Media and Technology Hall. It will precede the quarterly meeting of the University's Board of Regents.

Pam Johnson, director of the School of Journalism and Broadcasting, as well as faculty and students involved in the award, will be recognized at the announcement.
