Fire Prevention Awareness
Days Set At WKU

Bowling Green, Ky. - Hands on fire extinguisher training, thermal imaging camera demonstrations and smoke detector displays are a few of the activities available during Fire Prevention Awareness Days 2004 at Western Kentucky University.
On Sept. 28 and 29, WKU's Environmental Health and Safety Department and the Bowling Green Fire Department will be on the North Lawn of the Downing University Center. In addition to the displays, firefighters will demonstrate how to escape from a smoke-filled environment and offer tours of fire trucks.
WKU staff will explain how smoke and fire alarms and smoke detectors work and will offer free refreshments.
