Daniel Boone Subject Of Latest October 27, 2004 Lofaro's presentation is at 7pm, Thursday, Nov. 11, at Barnes & Noble Booksellers on Campbell Lane. The program is free and open to the public. Lofaro is currently a UT Lindsay Young Professor of English and is considered one of the foremost experts on Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. His work has landed him on the Today Show, National Public Radio's "All Things Considered," The History Channel, and Arts & Entertainment. Lofaro received a Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Arts and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. His latest book, Daniel Boone: An American Life, is his third volume on the frontier hero. Noting the continuing interest in Boone and Crockett, Lofaro said, "There is a constant demand for Boone and Crockett books because we are still captivated by the frontier hero."
