Bowling Green, Ky. - "Big Red's Birthday Bash" is the theme for Homecoming 2004 activities Oct. 18-24 at Western Kentucky University.

Tuesday, Oct. 19
Glasgow Homecoming Tailgate Party, 6 p.m., Glasgow Regional Center.
Wednesday, Oct. 20
"Big Red – The All-American Mascot Turns 25!" exhibit opening, Kentucky Library and Museum.
Thursday, Oct. 21
Chili and Cheese Luncheon/Pep Rally, 11 a.m., State Street Presbyterian Church in downtown Bowling Green.
Sixth annual Summit Awards to honor volunteers, 6 p.m., Knicely Conference Center, WKU South Campus.
Friday, Oct. 22
Building dedication ceremony, 8:30 a.m., Mass Media and Technology Hall.
Hall of Distinguished Alumni luncheon and induction, 11:30 a.m., Sloan Convention Center. The 2004 inductees are H.L. Donovan, Paul W. McDaniel and Jerry D. Humble.
Homecoming Parade, 5:30 p.m., Normal Drive from 15th Street to Regents Avenue.
Big Red Street Fest, 6:30 p.m., Downing University Center South Lawn.
Big Red's Roar, 7 p.m., Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Colonnade.
WKU men's soccer vs. Bradley, 7 p.m., WKU Soccer Field.
WKU volleyball vs. South Alabama, 7 p.m., Diddle Arena.
Saturday, Oct. 23
WKU Athletic Hall of Fame induction, 11 a.m., Diddle Arena Hall of Champions.
Festival of Friends reunion tents, 1 p.m. Downing University Center South Lawn. Entertainment by Skip Bond and the Fugitives. Big Red birthday party begins at 2 p.m.
WKU volleyball vs. New Orleans, 2 p.m., Diddle Arena.
School of Journalism and Broadcasting photo auction, 2 p.m., Mass Media and Technology Hall. Auction will include signed Pulitzer Prize photos as well as photos by WKU students and alumni.
WKU football vs. Indiana State, 4 p.m., L.T. Smith Stadium. Former Big Reds will be recognized and the Homecoming Queen will be crowned.
Step Show, 8 p.m., Diddle Arena.
Alumni Dance, 10 p.m., Knicely Conference Center, South Campus.
Sunday, Oct. 24
Jim Wayne Miller Celebration of Writing, 2 p.m., Garrett Conference Center auditorium.
WKU soccer vs. Eastern Illinois, 2 p.m., WKU Soccer Field.
WKU choir and symphonic band concert, 3 p.m., Van Meter Auditorium.
