Bowling Green, Ky. - Members of the WKU Forensics Team traveled to four tournaments the weekend of Nov. 5-7 and returned with sweepstakes championships from each event.
For the sixth consecutive weekend, the WKU debaters claimed both the individual and team sweeps titles, taking first in tournaments at St. Anselm College and Central Missouri University.
The individual events squad won both the California State University-Northridge Invitational and Owensboro Community College "Barbecue Capital of the World" Classic.
Six members of the WKU team won tournament championships in seven events at Owensboro; four won championships in six events at Cal State-Northridge; two were champions in three debate events at Central Missouri; and one was debate champion at St. Anselm.

Nicole Estenfelder, a Florence senior, tournament champion in duo interpretation (with partner Caitlin Drance) and poetry interpretation, fifth in programmed oral interpretation.
Joel Higgins, a freshman from Dickson, Tenn., tournament champion in dramatic interpretation and persuasive speaking.
Elizabeth Au, a senior from Evansville, Ind., tournament champion in informative speaking, fourth in programmed oral interpretation, fourth in after dinner speaking, fourth in prose interpretation.
Adam Heugel, a freshman from Rosenberg, Texas, tournament champion in extemporaneous speaking, second in persuasive speaking, second in after dinner speaking.

Luke Gilbert, a freshman from Talbott, Tenn., second in prose interpretation, second in poetry interpretation, second in duo interpretation (with partner Beth Berger), fourth in dramatic interpretation.
