WKU Forensic Team Wins
Tournament In Colorado

Bowling Green, Ky. - Members of the WKU Forensic Team took first-place honors in debate, individual and overall sweepstakes in a weekend tournament at Colorado College.

In Lincoln-Douglas debate, Joelle Perry, a Florence sophomore, won a 3-1 decision in the final round over a competitor from Creighton University.

Western had three first-place finishers in individual events and had two top 10 speakers out of 128 in parliamentary debate.

The results are as follows:

Caleb Williams, a senior from Lewisville, Texas, first in informative speaking, third in informative speaking.

Justin Cress, a Florence junior, first in impromptu speaking, second in extemporaneous speaking.

Logan Scisco, a Danville freshman, first in extemporaneous speaking, second in impromptu speaking.

Ashley Burgdorf, a freshman from Evansville, Ind., third in communication analysis.

Nicole Hawk, an Upton junior, fourth in extemporaneous speaking.

Jennifer Corum, an Auburn senior, fifth in impromptu speaking, ninth speaker in parliamentary debate.

Jennifer Purcell, a senior from Lewisville, Texas, sixth in impromptu speaking, seventh speaker in parliamentary debate.
