WBKO'S Holinde To Be Celebrity
Reader At Story Time
May 05, 2004
Bowling Green, Ky. - "The only thing that was really different about Chewandswallow was its weather. It came three times a day, at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything that everyone ate came from the sky."
From "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" by Judi Barrett
When the topic is the weather, WBKO First Alert Storm Team Weather Anchor Shane Holinde is always ready to share his knowledge and expertise. But what if it snowed mashed potatoes and rained soup and juice? Holinde will have the opportunity to predict what will be on the menu next when he reads "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" at WKYU-PBS Reading Rainbow Story Time Saturday, May 8, at 3 p.m. at the Bowling Green Barnes & Noble.
In this classic children's book written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett, "Life for the townspeople was delicious until the weather took a turn for the worse." Bring the kids, and come hear how the people of Chewandswallow weather the downpours of stale bread and maple syrup, a pea-soup fog, and even a tomato tornado.
