New Cemetery Road Entrance
Sign To Be Dedicated May 19

May 14, 2004

Bowling Green, Ky. - Officials from Bowling Green, Warren County and Western Kentucky University will dedicate a new Bowling Green entrance sign on Cemetery Road on May 19.

The sign, located on Cemetery Road at Indian Hills Drive, will be dedicated with a ribbon cutting at 3:30 p.m. The brick sign welcomes motorists to Bowling Green, home of Western Kentucky University.

The sign was completed with private funding and in-kind contributions. It was a joint effort between Western, Operation Pride, the Kentucky Department of Transportation and the Greenways Commission as a part of the Cemetery Road Corridor Project.

"This is another example of the terrific relationship between Western, Bowling Green and Warren County," WKU President Gary Ransdell said. "Exit 26 at Cemetery Road has become our primary entrance for traffic to campus from I-65 and we are pleased to contribute to the beautification of this corridor."
