Advertising Staff Honored

Bowling Green, Ky. - The advertising staff of the College Heights Herald, Western Kentucky University’s student newspaper, received eight awards in an annual Kentucky Press Association contest.
Matt Rountree, an Elizabethtown graduate student, received first place for Best Creative Use of the Newspaper and Best Use of Color in KPA's Advertising Excellence in Kentucky Newspapers Contest.
Amelia Farmer, a Fisherville senior, placed second for Best Classified Page/ Section.
Katie Hollenkamp, a Prospect junior, and Michael Reuter, a Bowling Green graduate, placed second for Best Ad Series.
Hollenkamp, Reuter and Amanda Hall, a Bardstown graduate, received a third-place award for Best Creative Use of Newspaper.
The advertising staff received first place for Real Estate, second for Best Food, Drug or Liquor advertisement and third for Best Newspaper Promotion.
The Kentucky Press Association awards, presented earlier this month in Lexington, recognize design work and concepts.
