Results From Kentucky High School Speech
League's Senior Speech And Debate
Tournaments At WKU

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Kentucky High School Speech League held its Senior State Speech and Debate Tournaments on March 26-28 at Western Kentucky University.

The following schools placed in the top 10 in the speech tournament: first, Knott County Central; second, Danville; third, Boone County; fourth, Graves County; fifth, Bethlehem; sixth, Calloway County; seventh, Lafayette; eighth, Assumption; ninth, Harrison County; 10th, Paul L. Dunbar.

The Horizon Award is given to schools with smaller entries, but show excellence by receiving a high number of sweepstakes points. The top five schools in this category were: first, LaRue County; second, North Hardin; third, Central Hardin; fourth, Greenwood; fifth, North Oldham.

The following schools placed in the Debate Tournament: first, Boone County; second, Henry Clay; third, North Oldham.
