WKU Forensic Team Wins
Ohio Swing Tournament

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University's forensic team won team sweepstakes in both portions of the Muskingum College/Ohio State University Swing Tournament on March 6-7 in Columbus, Ohio.
Individual results the William E. Bivin Forensic Society are as follows:
Armando Martinez, a freshman from Glendale, Ariz., tournament champion in after-dinner speaking and duo interpretation (with Jacob Peregoy) in the Muskingum portion; tournament champion in prose interpretation in the Ohio State portion.
Caleb Williams, a junior from Lewisville, Texas, tournament champion in communication analysis and persuasive speaking in the Muskingum portion.
Stacy Bernaugh, a senior from Seaside, Calif., tournament champion in extemporaneous speaking, third in informative speaking in the Muskingum portion.
Jacob Peregoy, a junior from Evansville, Ind., tournament champion in duo interpretation (with Armando Martinez), third in prose interpretation in the Muskingum portion; second in prose interpretation in the Ohio State portion.
Tony Damico, a Phoenix senior, tournament champion in informative speaking, fourth in prose interpretation in the Muskingum portion; tournament champion in informative speaking, fifth in prose interpretation in the Ohio State portion.
Elizabeth Au, a junior from Evansville, Ind., tournament champion in communication analysis and dramatic interpretation in the Ohio State portion.
Chris Blackford, a sophomore from Evansville, Ind., tournament champion in programmed oral interpretation in the Ohio State portion.
Kate Hertweck, a junior from Evansville, Ind., third in persuasive speaking in the Muskingum portion; tournament champion in persuasive speaking in the Ohio State portion.
Jeff Woods, a Florence junior, third in after-dinner speaking in the Muskingum portion; tournament champion in after-dinner speaking, fifth in poetry interpretation in the Ohio State portion.
Ashley Courtney, a Mayfield sophomore, fourth in communication analysis, fifth in informative speaking in the Muskingum portion; second in informative speaking, third in communication analysis in the Ohio State portion.
Justin Cress, a Florence sophomore, second in extemporaneous speaking in the Muskingum portion; second in extemporaneous speaking in the Ohio State portion.
Lydia Nelson, a freshman from Carver, Mass., second in communication analysis in the Muskingum portion.
Alex Rogers, a junior from Leawood, Kan., second in informative speaking in the Muskingum portion.
Melissa Messer, a San Antonio freshman, fourth in poetry interpretation in the Muskingum portion.
Grace Bruenderman, a Lexington sophomore, fifth in persuasive speaking in the Muskingum portion; second in persuasive speaking in the Ohio State portion.
Ryan Howell, a sophomore from Plymouth, Ind., third in dramatic interpretation in the Ohio State portion.
