Bowling Green, Ky. - The ALIVE Center and Bowling Green High Youth Service Center are sponsoring Prom Drive 2004.
Through May 8, the centers are collecting new and gently used formalwear for this year's prom. The drive will benefit any student in the Bowling Green/Warren County area in need of material assistance for prom dresses, tuxedos and accessories.
Donated items can be dropped off at the ALIVE Center or Bowling Green High Youth Services Center. Any student interested in receiving formalwear from this drive can contact Leah Tibbs at the ALIVE Center at 782-0082 or Misti Carrigan at the Bowling Green High Youth Services Center at 746-2304.
The ALIVE (A Local Information and Volunteer Exchange) Center began as part of Western Kentucky University's Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Project, funded by Sen. Mitch McConnell. The center, located at 1818 31W Bypass, serves as a central clearinghouse of information for health and human services, as well as a volunteer center.
