WKU To Offer Social Work
Continuing Education Programs

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Continuing Education office at Western Kentucky University is offering Social Work Continuing Education programs throughout the region this summer.

These programs, directed toward Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors will be held in Hopkinsville, Bowling Green, Glasgow and Owensboro.

Two types of programs are being offered: "It Really Is a Small World: Common Rural Ethical Dilemmas" and "Implementing the Metaphoric Interaction Model to Discuss Cultural Diversity and Gender." The fees are $88 for the Ethics program and $91 for the Metaphor program. Each program is three continuing education contact hours and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The Kentucky Boards of Social Work and Licensed Professional Counselors have approved both courses being offered. Approved programs that will be held this fall include "Leaving a Legacy: Integrity Versus Despair" and a six-hour program on Assessment.
