Health, Dental Screenings To
Be Offered In Clinton County

Bowling Green, Ky. - The South Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center is sponsoring a comprehensive health and dental screening next month in Clinton County.
The Kentucky Interdisciplinary Community Screening (KICS) will be offered July 6-8 at the Clinton County Health Department in Albany. The free screenings are scheduled for noon- 6 p.m. July 6; 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. July 7; and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. July 8. Appointments can be made by calling the health department at (606) 387-5711.
Screenings include weight/height/blood pressure, vision, health history, social stressors, physical assessment, oral assessment, health education and referrals/follow-up. Each screening will last about an hour.
Clinton County is the 12th rural county selected to host KICS in the South Central AHEC area. Students and faculty from the University of Louisville in the disciplines of medicine, dentistry, nursing and social work along with public health students and faculty from Western Kentucky University will form three teams to conduct the screenings.
Sponsors include South Central Kentucky AHEC, WKU Department of Public Health, WKU College of Health and Human Service, U of L Kent School of Social Work, U of L School of Medicine, U of L School of Nursing, U of L School of Dentistry, U of L AHEC, Clinton County ATC and Clinton County Health Department.
