Bowling Green, Ky. - Tickets for "An Evening With Athena Cage," with special guest Dionne Warwick, go on sale Tuesday at a variety of locations.

The Aug. 28 concert at the National Corvette Museum Amphitheater will also feature local talent Skip Bond and the Fugitives, the Western Kentucky University Chamber Singers and Orchestra as well as a few surprises. Proceeds from the concert will support a scholarship program Cage has established at Western Kentucky University.

There are four ticketing options, including two general admission lawn tickets at $10 and $25. There is also a $75 VIP package that includes premium chair-back seating, special parking, shuttle service and admittance to the VIP post-concert reception. There is also a $250 platinum package that includes dinner at WKU President Gary Ransdell's home on Aug. 27 and all the perks of the VIP package.

Tickets will be available at all South Central Bank locations in Bowling Green, Glasgow and Franklin; the WKU Ticket Office at 745-5222 or 1-800-5-BIG-RED; and at the gate the night of the concert.

For more information on the VIP and platinum packages, contact Leslie Watkins at (270) 745-6993. Additional ticket information is available from Catherine Hamilton at (270) 782-9696.

Cage, a native of Russellville and a WKU alumna, has been featured on three platinum albums, including two with Keith Sweat. Her latest hit was "All or Nothing (Live Your Dreams)" on the soundtrack "Save the Last Dance."

Warwick, a music icon for more than 40 years, is credited by Billboard magazine with 55 hit singles, the second most charted female in that time. The two met in Los Angeles and became friends.

This is the second in a series of five concerts to raise funds for Cage's scholarship fund. The fund helps needy and deserving students from the Delafield Community Center, Bowling Green, Warren County, Russellville and Logan County attend Western. The first scholarship, which is going to a Delafield student, was awarded this year.
